Everybody's got "I VOTED" stickers. Why don't I see more "I'M GOING TO VOTE" stickers?
Politicians and political observers are already looking to 2018 and wondering if the Trump era will give rise to some kind of meaningful change for Democrats, Republicans or both as Colorado elects a new governor.
Gov. John Hickenlooper is term-limited and won't be running -- OR WILL HE? -- so we'll get a fresh batch of candidates from both sides. The hottest trend in electoral politics is to put up a dizzying slate of candidates and, you know, just see what happens.
In that spirit, here's where you can read up on your dizzying slate -- and we'll try to keep this list up to date as things develop:

The Democrats
Noel Ginsburg, CEO of InterTech Plastics, founder of CareerWise Colorado
Status: Running and registered with the Secretary of State Dec. 22, 2016. He was the first Democrat to announce. Here's the press release. Here's his official site.
State Sen. Mike Johnston
Status: Running and registered with the Secretary of State Jan. 17 of this year. AP did a story on him shortly after that. Here's his official site.
U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter (CD-7)
Status: Not running. Colorado Politics wrote that some Democrats hope he will, and that he's considering it. But that one factor is whether or not Ken Salazar runs.
State Rep. Joe Salazar
Status: Not running. "Would highly consider it."
Former Sen. and Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar
Status: Not running. Says he'll decide by the end of summer.
Also registered with the Secretary of State: Adam Garrity, Moses Humes.
The Republicans
District Attorney George Brauchler
Status: Not running. Considered running against Sen. Michael Bennet -- and was considered a real contender -- in 2016 but decided against it, citing family reasons. Here's a 5280 profile on him from late 2015.
Former State Rep. Victor Mitchell
Status: Running and registered with the Secretary of State Feb. 9 of this year. Said he voted for Evan McMullin for president, not Donald Trump, and that he doesn't believe in "bazookas in our schools." Self-described longshot candidate.
Colorado Treasurer Walker Stapleton
Status: Not running. Among several names floated by the Colorado Independent as potential candidates.
