Former First Lady Michelle Obama will be the star speaker at the 30th anniversary celebration of the Women’s Foundation of Colorado.

The event, called Together, happens the evening of July 25 at the Pepsi Center. Obama will have a live conversation with foundation president and CEO Lauren Casteel.

The nonprofit’s stated mission is to “advance and accelerate” economic opportunities for women and families in Colorado.

Tickets range from $54.50 to $1,254.50. They officially go on sale next Monday, May 15, at 8 a.m. via Altitude or at 866-461-6556.

There are donor and venue pre-sales on May 12 and 13, respectively. More info at Altitude.

Obama will be paid for her appearance, according to Lisa Christie, a spokeswoman for the Women’s Foundation, but the group “cannot disclose or confirm any fee associated with it,” she wrote in an email.

“… I can tell you that her appearance is being underwritten by several of our generous donors, however, they do not wish to be named at this time.”

Obama marked her time at the White House with several initiatives, including efforts to reduce childhood obesity; support veterans and service members; inspire young people to seek higher education; and help girls around the world attend school.

CNN reported that President Donald Trump’s administration planned to end the latter program, called Let Girls Learn, but the administration has since issued a somewhat muddy denial of that report.
