Don’t stand around waiting for the bus on the 16th Street Mall this Saturday — or the next, or the next — because it won’t be coming.

From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. today, July 15 and July 22, the MallRide will be diverted to 15th and 17th streets while Meet in the Street events are happening.

The detours will be between Curtis Street and North Broadway — about half the length of the mall — and they’ll be using MetroRide buses instead of MallRide shuttles, which can’t run on regular city streets.

RTD says there will be signs to direct you to the stops, and that you should plan a little extra time for you trip.

This won’t happen during the rest of the Meet in the Street days.
