Bears: Are they real?
That and other absurd questions will be answered by speakers at tonight's buntporTED talks at Buntport Theater, 717 Lipan St.
The event starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $7 online and $6-8 at the door.
For something a little more substantive, pop over to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, where you can watch the documentary "The Farthest."
The film tells the history behind the Voyager mission (the Golden Record one), which sent two spacecraft far into space, sending back images of some of the farthest planets in the solar system for the first time. This month is Voyager's 40th anniversary, and Voyager 1 is currently about 13 billion miles from Earth.
Tonight's screening is scheduled for 7 p.m., and tickets are $10, or $8 with a Denver Film Society or RMPBS membership. (Can't make it tonight? "The Farthest" will also be on RMPBS on Wed., Aug. 23, at 8 p.m.)
Sen. Cory Gardner is holding three town halls in Colorado today. The closest to Denver will be at Colorado Christian University’s event center at 8787 W. Alameda Ave., Lakewood, from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., with doors open at 2:30 p.m.
