Fewer Denver homes have sold so far this year, but that doesn't mean that everybody is getting a bargain. As always, some new Denver homeowners paid above list price for their new home last week.
In fact, the top five Denver overbids of last week all paid more than 9 percent above list price.
Last week, 33 percent of the people who bought a home paid more than its asking price. The differences ranged from $500 extra to a full $60,000 more.

- Sold for $710,000, 9.2 percent above asking price
2745 South Ames Way, sold for $35,000 above list price
- 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, 3,232 square feet
- Sold for $385,000, 10.0 percent above asking price
4588 Malaya Street, sold for $25,000 above list price
- 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1,180 square feet
- Sold for $265,000, 10.4 percent above asking price
1296 South Dahlia Street, sold for $40,000 above list price
- 5 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, 2,540 square feet
- Sold for $415,000, 10.7 percent above asking price
