July 1, 2019: We feel comfortable reporting that summer is here.

June was weird. It was wet and not particularly hot out. And let’s not even talk about May. But outdoor pool weather has finally settled in over Denver, and we’re here on the weatherless internet to guide you.

First, the cost. Access to Denver’s public pools is free with a MY Denver Card. Otherwise, admission prices are:

  • Youth (2-18): $1
  • Young Adult (19-24): $3
  • Adult (25-64): $3.50
  • Senior (65+) $2
  • Persons with Disabilities: $2

You can also get an outdoor pool pass to use now through Sept. 1. Those costs are:

  • Youth (2-18): $20
  • Young Adult (19-24): $35
  • Adult (25-64): $50
  • Senior (65+): $30
  • Persons with Disabilities: $30

Drop-in aqua fitness classes are available for a small fee:

  • Young Adult (19-24): $3
  • Adult (25-64): $4
  • Senior (65+): $2.50
  • Persons with Disabilities: $2.50

Below are a map and list of Denver’s public pools — outdoor and indoor. But before you dive in, a few more notes.

Outdoor pools will close if:

  • the air temperature drops below 64 degrees or colder
  • the water temperature is lower than 78 degrees
  • there are high winds occurring and lifeguards cannot see the bottom of the pool or visibility is poor
  • there is lighting and thunder in the area

Pools will also close in the event of a pump room mechanical issue or other hygiene or safety-related reasons.

Anyway. Happy splashing.
