Denverite's Mile High Brewery Battle has reached the Final, Frothy Four -- a hard, and well-earned designation.
As we enter the penultimate round of voting, we want to take a minute to introduce you to the top competitors -- just in case you haven't met yet.
The contender on East Colfax: Cerebral Brewing Co.
Where: 1477 Monroe St.
Who: Sean Buchan and Dan McGuire
What and Why: Cerebral Brewing Co. started with a homebrew kit. Sean Buchan got one as a gift and, multiple awards later, brewed himself a business with his college buddy Dan McGuire in Congress Park.
The Cerebral team now includes a master of ceremonies, a saison liaison, a pizza gypsy and a fungus foreman. The menu includes a balanced variety -- sours, lagers, hoppy beers, darks and even a kombucha -- all with on-brand names.
The spot also boasts a spacious, dog-friendly patio and regular visits from local food trucks.
