The Denver District Attorney's office on Friday said they charged 13 people with violating the state's organized crime act after local and federal authorities raided several businesses and homes in the metro area associated with motorcycle gangs including the Hells Angels.
A release from the DA's office said the 13 are charged with violating the Colorado Organized Crime Control Act. The investigation leading to the arrests began in July, with law enforcement agencies, including Denver Police, executing warrants at multiple locations on Nov. 7. Among the places raided was the Denver Charter Hells Angels Outlaw Motorcycle Club Gang Club House at 3257 Navajo St. in Denver's Highland neighborhood.
The raids led authorities to seize "dozens" of firearms, methamphetamine, cocaine, cash, passports and other items, according to the release. Search warrants were completed at three additional businesses including the Kool Kat Tattoo Shop in Englewood; Uneekbilt in Englewood; and Tribal Rites tattoo shop in Westminster.
The 13 arrested include:
- Jason P. Sellers (age 44)
- Michael J. Dire (age 74)
- Jared B. Orland (age 47)
- Clinton Williams (age 45)
- William "Kelly" Henderson (age 42)
- William "Curly" E. Whitney (age 81)
- Justin A. Wright (age 35)
- Peter M. Baron (age 30)
- Dominic Robichaud (age 47)
- Dustin Ullerich (age 47)
- Adam Mulcahy (age 27)
- Jimmy D. Salazar (age 44)
- Derek A. Beste (age 30)
Additionally, Jerome J. Guardiola, 35, remains at large. The DAs office said their arrest warrants are sealed. Some defendants have bonded out of jail, while others remain in custody. The release did not specify who had bonded out.
Some of the accused face additional charges, including first-degree assault, second-degree kidnapping, robbery, theft greater than $100,000, aggravated motor vehicle theft and chop shop activity.
In addition to Denver, the release said the charges stemmed from police action in cities and towns including Arvada, Brighton, Colorado Springs, Commerce City, Englewood, Erie, Golden, Lafayette, Lakewood, Littleton and Westminster. Local agencies partnered with the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives to execute the warrants, as well as the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and the Colorado State Patrol.
The investigation remains ongoing. The DAs office said in the release no additional details would be released at this time.
