Broadway might be shut down, but on December 13, you can get your musical fix while also supporting a local venue.
For one night only, the original Broadway cast of the Jagged Little Pill musical will reunite in New York City for Jagged Live in NYC: A Broadway Reunion Concert, a concert fundraiser to be live streamed via a select number of stages across the country -- including the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Coloradans can now buy tickets for the concert on the DCPA's site.
The concert will reunite the show's band and castmates Antonio Cipriano, Kathryn Gallagher, Celia Rose Gooding, Derek Klena, Sean Allan Krill, Lauren Patten Elizabeth Stanley as they raise money for theatre venues impacted by COVID-19 across the country. A portion of the proceeds will go to the DCPA to support its future programming.
Directed by Diane Paulus and inspired by the Alanis Morissette's 1995 album of the same name, the jukebox musical features hit songs like "You Outta Know," "Head Over Feet," "You Learn" and "Ironic," as well as other songs written by Morissette. The show follows the Healy family as they grapple with issues like addiction and sexual assault and work to heal as a family. This year, it received 15 Tony nominations, including Best Musical.
The show will be available to livestream Sunday, December 13, at 6 p.m. MST. It'll also be available to watch On Demand through December 15. Tickets start at $27.
