Metro Denver Crime Stoppers have identified 26-year-old Madeline Ann Cramer as a suspect in the vandalizing of the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception early on Oct. 10. She allegedly used red spray paint to write  hateful messages including homophobic and racist slurs and swastikas on the Catholic church on the corner of Colfax Avenue and Logan Street.

Police have offered a $2,000 reward for information leading to her arrest.

Cathedral Rector Father Samuel Morehead said that multiple street security cameras had captured the suspect. "Two different groups have submitted those security camera footage to the Denver police," he said in October to Denverite. "The Denver police themselves have a camera on the street corner at Colfax and Logan, and their camera caught some of the action as well. So between their own cameras, and these two businesses' security cameras, they were able to actually determine who it was through a car's license plate."

Cramer was previously charged with obstructing police and was sentenced to one year of probation and 48 hours of community service in 2020.
