The Underground Music Showcase announced it will return to South Broadway on July 29, 30 and 31.
Presale tickets and further information will be available soon, according to the indie music fest. It’s also inviting artists to apply for the 2022 festival on UMS’s website.
Every year, UMS takes over several blocks of South Broadway, inviting thousands of fans to enjoy performances by local and internationally-known independent artists, scattered across a number of venues. The event brings in a flood of business for some South Broadway businesses, some of which have struggled to stay open in the last couple of years. Last year, the festival returned to South Broadway after a brief virtual turn in 2020. For many, it was a return to live music and to a sense of normalcy, even if the crowds were a bit smaller than usual.
