For people who have money to spare after paying for plane tickets, checked bags and programs like TSA PreCheck, Denver International Airport (DIA) travelers can soon pay for a personal travel assistant to help them navigate the airport.

The SkySquad program provides travelers with an assistant they meet up with at the airport. The assistant can help travelers with baggage and ticketing before security and with navigating the airport to their gate on the other side of TSA checkpoints. The program will also provide assistance at baggage claim at travelers' final destination.

Travelers using SkySquad also get access to expedited security lines at DIA. People can book the service online or through walk-up appointments near the Frontier ticket counters. The hours of operation run from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Travelers who use wheelchairs should continue to reserve that service through their airline.

"We are thrilled to offer DEN Travel Assist to travelers flying into and out of Denver," said DIA CEO Phil Washington in a statement Monday. "Travel can be stressful, and DEN Travel Assist offers a new way to make the airport experience more enjoyable and seamless, especially for those who are in need of extra help. We are confident that our passengers will appreciate this new service."

SkySquad currently operates at airports in Baltimore, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Las Vegas and Philadelphia. It's the latest private company to partner with the airport after CLEAR expanded its operations from expedited security to include DEN Reserve, which lets all travelers book a spot in the security line.
