All eastbound Colfax Avenue lanes and the north- and south-bound ramps to Interstate 225 have reopened, according to the Aurora Police Department and Colorado Department of Transportation.

A seven-vehicle crash reported early Monday morning shut down the busy stretch of Colfax Ave. in Aurora for several hours. Crews closed the road at Laredo Street near the I-225 exit shortly after 6 a.m., according to CDOT.

APD reported five people with injuries, including two who had to be taken to the hospital. They later shared on X that a medical issue may have contributed to the crash and that a Regional Transportation District bus had been damaged by debris, though no one on board was injured.
