A construction worker died at the Broncos training facility construction site in Dove Valley on Monday night.

South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to the site around 8 p.m., according to emergency radio communications recorded by Broadcastify.

A 25-year-old man who had been crawling in a ceiling area to fix a light was reported to be unconscious, barely breathing and turning purple. The construction crew was unable to get him down, according to the recording.

Crews reported the victim was believed to be dead on arrival.

South Metro Fire Rescue said it would soon release a statement on the incident.

The Broncos are building the 205,000-square-foot training facility, Broncos Park, at the team’s campus on Broncos Parkway near Centennial. It is scheduled to be completed ahead of the upcoming 2026 football season.

The team didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
