The construction is coming, the construction is coming! Civic Center Station will close for renovations Sunday. That means 18 bus routes will be rerouted for the next year or so.

After all the rebuilding is over, RTD plans to have a structure that’s easier to maintain.

The first thing people will notice as the reconstruction begins is gates around the center, though access to ticket sales will be maintained until a temporary location is set up.

How routes and stops will change because of construction

With seven bus stops moved, traffic will be “somewhat impacted,” said RTD spokesperson Tina Jaquez.

“The unfortunate thing is that construction will probably have some effect,” Jaquez said. She added that riders will be encouraged to board and exit in a timely way.
