July 8 forecast: Rising heat and scattered storms

Hope you found yourself a good pool, because it’s going to be one of those weekends where clothes are just decorative sweat rags.

Today, we’re looking at a high around 92 degrees and a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Sunset is at 8:30 p.m., and the chances of a storm get bigger from there.

The NWS forecast remains about the same through Saturday, but the temperature is expected to climb a couple degrees. It’ll keep creeping up into Sunday, when the high will be around 96.
