Heat Dome Log: Day 2.

We’re still unsure if we’re technically trapped in a heat dome, but it sure feels like it. Today, we’ve got a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5 p.m. and a high near 96, according to the National Weather Service.

The chance of rain and storms drops to 10 percent for the weekend, but they could creep in anytime after noon Saturday and Sunday. The NWS expects the high on Saturday to reach 95, and it looks like we’ll be freed from the heat dome on Sunday, when the high will be a downright cool 89.
