The Big Wonderful, Downtown 82, Cervantes and Lyft are working together to throw two parties in downtown Denver on Aug. 13. They’re calling it The Secret District.
The fact of the shows are not a really a secret, obviously, but the locations and lineup are under wraps, for now.
Here’s what we know now: There will be 12 DJs and artists on three stages, and there will be signature cocktails, beer and food.
As 303 Magazine reports, The Secret District started as two separate events.
Originally, Josh Sampson of TheBigWonderful was working on the Denver Secret Show in partnership with LYFT and Cervantes’ Ballroom to provide a night of drinks, food and music.
At the same time, however, Delores Tronco of Work & Class and Kevin Earle of MCP Presents planned a series of pop-up parties inspired by the music, art and culture of downtown New York City in 1980 called Downtown 82.
It’s a big collaboration, so you can have some faith that the ticket will be worth the price. They went on sale today for $20, and they’ll cost $25 the day of.
It all starts at 6 p.m. next Saturday. Lyft will offer a code for half-price rides to the parties.
