Boulder's city staff have proposed a few million dollars of new spending on services for people experiencing homelessness, the Times-Call reports.
The proposed spending still has to be approved by the city council. Here are the major spending items in the plan, according to reporter Alex Burness:
- About $1.9 million would go to build a year-round shelter, which the city doesn't currently have.
- $150,000 would pay to expand short-term housing assistance.
- $276,000 would go to three new hires, including a homeless services manager.
- $385,000 would fund a new homeless services van.
