An Arvada man has been arrested after police say he sent a threatening message to a state lawmaker on Facebook.
Police say the 21-year-old man was taken into custody Saturday after Sen. Laura Woods received a message from the suspect, who threatened to shoot her and her family.
Woods says she had been in a town hall meeting when she opened the message.
Police responded after Woods notified them of the threat.
The suspect faces charges of harassment involving use of a computer and is set to appear in court Monday.
