Millennials are finally starting to buy homes and they’re doing it in Denver

Normally, I’d say that broadcasting that there’s a homeless couple having sex outside your window is a bad strategy to sell your West City Park house.

But then I saw that more and more millennials are buying homes, according to Fannie Mae research. And that Denver is the second-most popular market for millennial homebuyers. Denver has a stronger than average local economy, so more millennials have the kinds of jobs that allow them to buy.

Of course, that “strong economy” that they’re benefitting from hasn’t helped all Denverites. The increasing rents and home prices that come along with it likely are contributing to homelessness.

Either way, that couple will probably be fine selling their home.
