Colorado special teams player Jaleel Awini and backup tight end Christopher Hill have been suspended for the Pac-12 championship game after being arrested following a fight outside a bar.

Awini and Hill were arrested Sunday morning — hours after the Buffaloes clinched the Pac-12 South. A police report says Hill punched Awini in the jaw and an unconscious Awini fell to the ground. Hill left the scene.

Officers found what appeared to be cocaine in Awini’s wallet. He could face charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Hill was cited for third-degree assault.

The Boulder Daily Camera first reported the charges.

Awini is suspended indefinitely. Hill is suspended for Friday’s game at this point while coach Mike MacIntyre gathers more information, the school said.
