The University of Denver has two top-ranked teams. For the first time in school history, the Pioneers’ hockey and lacrosse teams are ranked No. 1 in the nation at the same time.

Denver hockey jumped Minnesota-Duluth in the USCHO.com and USA Today/USA Magazine polls to take over the top spot. The Pioneers are 22-6-4 on the season after sweeping Miami (Ohio) over the weekend. They have four games remaining before postseason play begins.

Denver lacrosse, meanwhile, is just beginning its season. The Pioneers are 2-0 after beating Duke 14-9 on Saturday.
