Baseball is back, baby

Why do Rockies fans keep coming back to Coors Field in spite of all the losing? The weather, the party and the hope of one day seeing something special are a couple reasons why. (Denverite)

And, hey, they won last night. Denver native Kyle Freeland gave up four hits with a pair of walks and struck out six, including the first batter up, in his major league debut with the Rockies. They beat the Dodgers 2-1 on Opening Day. (AP)

An ex-girlfriend of Finney’s told Denver police this year that she had found videos in Finney’s email account that had been recorded by pointing a camera up multiple women’s skirts and dresses. (Denverite)

Richard Kirk was sentenced to 30 years in prison for killing his wife, Kristine Kirk, in 2014

He claimed that eating weed candy drove him to it, and in a 13-minute 911 call, Kristine said he was hallucinating, ranting about the end of the world and asking her to kill him. (DP)

An inmate was accidentally release from jail in Brighton

He pretended to be another inmate who was supposed to be freed that day. The Adam's County Sheriff's Office has not said how. (AP)
