Fadó Irish Pub closed its doors for good this week, ending its 20-year tenure outside Coors Field.
A message on the bar's website says, "It’s with a heavy heart that we close our doors but it’s time to move."
It also says ownership is looking for a new location in Denver and hopes to reopen soon.
No reason was given for the closure, but as the Denver Post points out, big changes could be coming to that block. The parking lot between 19th and 20th streets -- also between Fadó and Jackson's -- is under the Rockies' control thanks to their 30-year lease extension at Coors Field.
Here's the full message from Fadó:
Denver,
We’ve had a great run at LoDo in Denver. For 20 years, we’ve had so many good times, great customers and wonderful managers and employees. Thank you.
It’s with a heavy heart that we close our doors but it’s time to move.
We’re looking for a new location in Denver and we hope to re-open soon. Thank you so much for your past patronage and your loyalty, we will see you down the road.
Sláinte,
The Fadó Team
