Good morning. The high in Denver today is 78 degrees, and thunderstorms are likely this afternoon. The best chance for storms is between 3 and 4 p.m. today, according to the National Weather Service.

The storms crossing the Front Range may bring heavy rain, small hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph, per NWS. The Eastern Plains around Limon may get stronger storms with large hail; a brief, weak tornado is possible farther east.

This weekend looks clear and sunny. Thunderstorms may form late in the day but should be confined to the higher terrain, NWS forecasts. Next week, a change in the pattern may bring storms to the Front Range.
