The Source is expanding. The River North campus soon will include a new hotel that also will house New Belgium Brewing Co.'s first Denver brewery and several restaurants.
The Source Hotel, slated to open late this year, will have 100 rooms, a small-batch New Belgium brewery, a marketplace with craft-focused vendors and a rooftop terrace with views of downtown and the mountains. The names of the hotel's restaurants haven't yet been announced.
Based on the renderings, we can also safely say it will have a lot of swank.
Here's what we know so far:
New Belgium Brewing Co. will move in on the ground floor, just next to the lobby, with a 10-barrel system to produce a rotating list of beers.
Those brews will be on tap at The Woods, the hotel's rooftop bar. They'll also have a pool and hot tub up there.
One of the restaurants will be Smök, where chef Bill Espiricueta of Acorn will put his Texas and Kansas City roots to work making barbecue. It'll have indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the courtyard and marketplace.
The ultra-modern building was designed by Stephen Dynia from Dynia Architects. According to the press release, it was created "from eight distinct, one-story buildings angled and stacked on top of one another."
