After five years of rave reviews in its LoDo location, The Squeaky Bean is closing its doors for good.
Co-owner Josh Olsen said that “all in all it isn’t viable for us to stay open,” Eater reports.
The Squeaky Bean has had a hell of a life in Denver. It first opened in the Highland space now home to Señor Bear, then moved to much fancier digs at 1500 Wynkoop St. in 2011.
Since then, the restaurant has racked up accolades, including a spot on Bon Appetit’s 50 Best Restaurants in America in 2013, and undergone some major staffing changes.
Head over to Eater for more of The Squeaky Bean’s history, and head over to 1500 Wynkoop to get in one last meal if you can. Today is the last day.
