The Denver Nuggets will be getting significantly more national TV time this season compared to last.

That was the biggest takeaway from the NBA schedule release Monday afternoon.

A year after they played two games on national TV, the Nuggets are slated to play nine games on national air waves in 2017-18. They'll play five of those games on TNT and four on ESPN.

Those games are as follows:

  • Nov. 9 vs. Oklahoma City, TNT
  • Nov. 17 vs. New Orleans, ESPN
  • Nov. 28 at Utah, ESPN
  • Jan. 17 at Los Angeles Clippers, ESPN
  • Feb. 1 vs. Oklahoma City, TNT
  • Feb. 13 vs. San Antonio, TNT
  • Feb. 27 vs. Los Angeles Clippers, TNT
  • Mar. 7 vs. Cleveland, ESPN
  • Apr. 5 vs. Minnesota, TNT

The Nuggets begin their season Oct. 18 in Utah against the Jazz and return to the Pepsi Center for their home opener Oct. 21 against head coach Michael Malone's old team, the Sacramento Kings.

Five of Denver's first seven games are on the road.

In March, the Nuggets play a seven-game road trip, which will be the most games in a row they've played away from the Pepsi Center since the 2011-12 season. They play at Memphis, at Miami, at Chicago, at Washington, at Philadelphia, at Toronto and conclude the trip at Oklahoma City.

Jusuf Nurkic, who helped the Portland Trail Blazers leap frog the Nuggets in the standings after they traded him, returns to Denver on Jan. 22. The Nuggets play the Trail Blazers at 7 p.m. at the Pepsi Center.

Denver's final two games come against Portland on April 9 at home and then at Minnesota on April 11.
