Traffic is heavy on Interstate 25 north of Denver this morning, but it doesn’t look like the eclipse rush should affect morning commutes in the metro. As of 7:30 a.m., traffic trackers showed moderate congestion around the city.

The traffic gets nastier as you head farther north, although it wasn’t looking like the total traffic nightmare some have predicted. The Wyoming Department of Transportation reported “heavy traffic” heading northbound through Cheyenne as of 5:17 a.m., while roads like U.S. 287 appeared nearly clear.
