North America has two more total solar eclipses coming up in the first half of the 21st century. One will miss Denver and Colorado. But: One won't!
The next total eclipse for North America, in 2024, will miss Colorado.
The April 8, 2024, will cut northeast from Mexico, across Texas and up into the Northeast. Major cities in the path will include Austin, Dallas and Indianapolis.
Colorado's next total solar eclipse is on Aug. 12, 2045, just 28 short years away.
The northern edge of the path of totality will slice right past I-70 in Denver. Colorado Springs and Grand Junction will be prime viewing spots.
So, stay put? Great American Eclipse has more information on the 2024 eclipse. NASA usually has a site about the 2045 eclipse, but it seems to be down right now.
