Good morning. The high in Denver today is 87 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. There's some light cloud cover this morning over the metro, with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms mid-afternoon.

Where the storms fall, the NWS warns of heavy rain, small hail and gusty winds.

We'll see a similar weather pattern through Thursday, with above-average temperatures and chances for storms, NWS predicts.

Friday may be clear and slightly cooler as a new cold front rolls in, bringing below-average temperatures for the weekend. The northern mountains may see snow on Friday night and Saturday, according to NWS. I wouldn't expect much, though.
