An A Line train hit a pedestrian crossing the tracks near DIA

The victim was taken to a hospital alive.

An A Line train hit a pedestrian crossing the tracks just outiside Denver International Airport just before midnight Saturday.

RTD spokesman Nate Currey told the Denver Post the victim was taken to a hospital alive.

The incident happened as the train was arriving, about 200 yards from the airport station. Police say no criminal activity is suspected.

The A Line was shut down for several hours between the airport and 61st & Peña Station, but has reopened.
