Happy Monday, Denver! If you're home "sick," I hope it's not too brutal. If you made it to work, good for you. I'm actually sick, with a real cold, but I've bravely managed to scrape some news together for you.

Growth & development:

Meow Wolf's plans don't come close to the scale of the Denver Housing Authority's plans for Sun Valley. The first two construction phases of the DHA's $240 million investment in the neighborhood are expected to begin later this year. (Denverite)

Police:

Local law enforcement agencies are wondering if they need to do more to protect officers. Two Colorado sheriff's deputies have been killed in shootings since Dec. 31, despite the fact that they were wearing body armor. (DP)

Politics & real estate:

Brian Watson, a candidate for state treasurer, and his Denver-based commercial real estate firm Northstar Commercial Partners just bought the Offices at the Art for $17.1 million. (Colorado Politics)

People:

Hank Robinson, the owner of Argonaut Wine & Liquor, has died at 96. (DP)

Dining & entertainment:

The Rayback Collective — Boulder's first permanent beer garden and food truck park — wants to make a move in Denver. They're teaming up with Movement rock climbing gym on a 50,000-square-foot space in RiNo that will be called Improper City. (303)

Just the other day, someone fairly new to the city was asking me where the nightclubs are. It's a short list, but soon it'll have a new addition. The three-story, Cuban food-serving Miami Vibez is coming to Market Street this spring. (Eater)

Post-Super Bowl performance, Justin Timberlake announced new tour dates that include a stop in Denver nearly one year from now. (9)

Sports:

Would you pay a very small tax to keep the Mile High name on the Broncos' stadium? A couple decades ago, that's how it worked. (9)
