The high in Denver today could hit 81 degrees, with clouds clearing out and breezy conditions. That combination results in a red-flag fire warning, according to the National Weather Service.

Tomorrow will be much the same. Then, of course, the high drops to 46 on Friday and there's a chance of snow. After that, this weekend should bounce around the 50s and 60s in Denver.

Recent snow has improved the water situation for Colorado's northern mountains, but the southern mountains now are even further below their normal snowpack, according to OpenSnow. A storm could put 6 to 12 inches of snow on some of the mountains this Friday and Saturday, OpenSnow forecasts.
