The Central Business District has a lot of things, but a full-service hardware store is not one of them. That fact will change when Ace Hardware opens a new shop at 1060 15th St.

The shop will take over the space that Cantina Laredo, a Texas-based Mexican restaurant chain, left earlier this year.

Bruce Rahmani owns the franchise, according to documents filed with the Colorado Secretary of State. He also owns Colorado Hospitality Services. Rahmani did not return a message left with his receptionist.

A spokesman for Ace said the hardware store is “in the construction phase, with the hope to have the store open by early 2020.” Surely we can believe that opening date given that it comes from a hardware store, right?
