The high for today, June 16, is 92 degrees in Denver, according to the National Weather Service. Sunset tonight is 8:30 p.m.

Much of the Front Range is under an ozone action alert today for “sensitive groups,” such as people with lung disease, older adults and children. The government recommends reduced outdoor exertion for those at risk.

From now it gets hotter, up until it’s 97 degrees on Sunday, NWS forecasts. Ninety-seven degrees.
