Children’s Hospital Colorado was named the ninth best kids’ hospital in the country

U.S. News & World Report has released its Honor Roll of Best Children's Hospitals 2016-17, with Children's Hospital Colorado in the No. 9 spot.

The Aurora hospital was chosen for three "Honor Roll specialties" -- or areas in which it excels. It ranks fourth for endocrinology, seventh for orthopedics and ninth for cancer.

Children's Hospital Colorado's ranking in down from last year, when the report put it at No. 5.
