What's a sandcastle without the ocean? Still pretty cool, as it turns out.

Sand in the City runs today until 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Ralston Park in Aurora, with organizers expecting about 17,000 visitors in all.

Check out our staff photos and the best of social media after the jump.
