Former school therapist accused of sexual relations with student he met at Denver Christian School
Troy Vandenbroeke, 49, of Centennial, is accused of sexually assaulting a single student whom he met at Denver Christian School.
Vandenbroeke no longer works at the school, according to the Denver District Attorney’s Office. The victim first met with Vandenbroeke at the school because she was having panic attacks, according to arrest documents.

Vandenbroeke first made sexual requests of her in 2010 and eventually began having her to his office for three to four hours per day, the victim told police. The sexual relationship started when she was 18 and continued for several years after she graduated, according to the district attorney’s office.
Vandenbroeke faces a felony charge of aggravated sexual assault on a client by a psychotherapist and an associated misdemeanor. He is free on $50,000 bond.
Vandenbroeke was at one time a football coach for the school, according to MaxPreps.
