FALSE ALARM! Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson is probably not going to be in Denver Saturday

Updated: Gary Johnson, the former Republican governor of New Mexico who is running for president as a libertarian, is very probably NOT holding a rally in Denver on Saturday

Johnson’s website advertises a rally from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. this Saturday in Denver with no venue information listed.

Well, that’s because the rally was always “extremely tentative,” according to Joe Hunter, Johnson’s spokesman.

“The web folks just got a little bit ahead of us,” he said.

Johnson will hold an event in Denver at some point, but it’s probably not going to be this weekend, Hunter said.

Johnson also ran in 2012, but he’s getting more traction this year, particularly with Republicans but also with some former supporters of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.
