The Associated Press reports that Hillary Clinton has asked Ken Salazar to head up her White House transition team.

Salazar is a former U.S. senator and Secretary of Interior under President Barack Obama and a member of a famous Colorado political family.

The transition team oversees planning for a future Clinton administration. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is performing the same role for Donald Trump.

The team Salazar will lead includes former National Security Adviser Tom Donilon, former Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm and longtime Clinton allies Neera Tanden and Maggie Williams.
