Three in custody after officer-involved shooting in Denver
Denver police are responding to an officer-involved shooting in the West Colfax neighborhood.
Three suspects are in custody after the shooting near 10th Avenue and Federal Boulevard, according to a tweet the Denver Police Department sent shortly before 4:45 p.m. Tuesday.
No officers were injured in the shooting.
UPDATE: KDVR reports that the person who was shot was an “armed carjacking suspect.” Police had pulled over the vehicle, which was believed to have been stolen.
Three suspects fled, and one drew his gun, at which point the officer fired, according to KDVR. The armed suspect did not fire his gun, police told KDVR.
