John Fogerty will play a tribute concert in downtown Denver on the 15th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11.

Colorado Remembers 9/11, a free event, will be hosted by Gov. John Hickenlooper and Mayor Michael Hancock.

Fogerty will be joined by the Colorado band Big Head Todd & The Monsters, along with a procession of public safety employees.

The event happens Sunday, September 11, 2016 starting at 1:00 p.m. in Civic Center Park. There's a focus on music because it "played a significant role in uniting and healing our country" after the attacks, according to event organizers.
