A ceremony and concert this afternoon will honor the victims and rescuers of the September 11th attacks. The event starts at 1 p.m. at Civic Center Park.

Colorado Remembers 9/11 begins with a procession of first responders, followed by military ceremonies. Steel from the fallen World Trade Center towers will be on display.

John Fogerty, former bandleader of Creedence Clearwater Revival, will perform. So will Big Head Todd & the Monsters, a long-lived band out of Colorado.

Dozens of Colorado’s most prominent politicians will be in attendance too.

The event is free.
