A fuel spill has shut down all but one northbound lane of Interstate 25 on the approach to Alameda Avenue, according to Denver police.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area. It’s unclear when the cleanup operation will be finished, but multiple response teams were on site as of 7:30 a.m.

KMGH editor Melissa Krol reports that the spill was the result of a collision involving a truck.
