These Denver dentists will pay cash for your Halloween candy to give to troops

Most offices offer about $1 per pound — except for one super-rad Denver dentist who offers $2. But hey, it’s really for the troops.

No. More. Candy. (Slgckgc/Flickr)

It's the day after Halloween, and if you're anything like me, you probably went a little hard on the candy last night.

But Denver's dentists and orthodontists are back this year to save your teeth (and your health) and stick a little extra cash in your pocket.

Since 2005, the national Halloween Candy Buy Back program has been enlisting the aid of dentists to collect unwanted or unneeded candy -- for soldiers. And this year, they partnered with Soldiers' Angels "Treats for Troops" program to send candy both to active military and hospitalized veterans.

On your end, all you've got to do is show up at one of these kindly offices, swap your candy for cash, then feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Don't get too excited, most offices offer about $1 per pound -- except for one super-rad Denver dentist who offers $2. But hey, it's really for the troops, right?
