Welcome to November! Halloween is over, but there's still plenty to do.

CityBuild, a Downtown Denver Partnership initiative, is hosting Ballots & Brews tonight at Industry, 3001 Brighton Blvd. The evening will include a panel discussion and group conversation about ballot questions.

The event is 21+ and lasts from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Beer and snacks will be served. Tickets are $10-15.


Head over to Strange Craft Brewing Co., 1330 Zuni St., Unit M, for beer and cheese pairings from 6 to 8:30 p.m. They'll be matching up five Strange brews with five Truffle Cheese Shop cheeses.

Tickets are $25 and are available online or at the brewery.


Release your inner Chef Duff and learn how to decorate a fall-themed cake at My Make Studio, 6460 E. Yale Ave., Unit E60.

From 6 to 8 p.m., you'll learn how to mold a fondant scarecrow, pipe leaves and design fall flowers. No previous decorating experience is required. An alcoholic drink will be served, but kids are welcome.

Young the Giant is playing the Ogden Theatre, 935 E. Colfax Ave., tonight, with support from Ra Ra Riot.

Tickets are $25-30. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. They've also added a second show Wednesday at the same time.


The Avs face the Nashville Predators at home today.

The game starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are cheap for this one, with seats in the upper deck starting in the $10-15 range.
