The city of Denver is an instastar:

With more than 150,000 followers and 320 posts, @cityofdenver's Instagram aesthetic is on point. But according to 9News, no one knows who runs it.

The mystery moderator has been running the account since 2014 and earns anywhere from about 2,000 to 8,000 likes per photo. The city of Denver is pretty pleased with the content, but has been trying to figure out who runs the account for some time.

"We haven’t asked them to give it up, since they had it first and they really do have fabulous content, but we’ve asked them not to use our website and logo," Schiavone wrote to 9News.

As of now, Schiavone said no one has stepped forward to claim the account. And the city of Denver is doing its best to lock down a handle for the real Instagram account.

@realcityofdenver was one of Schiavone's suggestions.
