Ratio Comedy and Ratio Beerworks, 2920 Larimer St., are introducing a new storytelling series: Tales from the Road.

It's exactly what it sounds like.

Volume 1 will feature Adam Cayton-Holland (TruTV's Those Who Can't/Conan), Sammy Six Guns Jr. (Former WWE/NXT Superstar), Royce Isaacs (Former Lucha Libre & Laughs Champ) and Bud Bronson & The Good Timers.

The show starts at 8 p.m. and there's no cover.

History Buffs and Brews is hosting a very awkward Christmas party this evening.

From 4 to 7 p.m. in the Awkward Family Photos exhibit at History Colorado, 1200 Broadway, wear your best Christmas sweater and have some happy hour holiday cocktails while you make some gingerbread creations. They'll have a DIY photo studio for Christmas card pictures and they'll announce the winner of the Awkward Family Photo Colorado contest.

Admission is free, but the bar is not.

Harry Potter trivia is back by popular demand at Chain Reaction Brewing Co., 902 S. Lipan St.

Round up a team of up to six people for seven rounds of questions about the books and movies. There will be food, prizes and, of course, beer.

They had to turn people away last time, so get there early to make sure you get a spot in the competition. The game lasts from 7:30 to 10 p.m.

If you're looking to drink and/or eat for a cause on this Colorado Gives Day, here are a few options:

  • Patxi's will be donating 10 percent of dine-in, take-out and alcohol sales at lunch and dinner to Inside the Orchestra. Anyone who makes a donation to Inside the Orchestra at the event (or has pre-scheduled one) will be entered in to win some prizes.
  • Go to any Illegal Pete's in Colorado from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., when they'll be donating 50 percent of sales to one of eight nonprofits (listed here). If you donate in person, you get a free draft beer or can from a participating brewery.
  • $1 of every beer sold during happy hour at Ratio Beerworks will benefit The GrowHaus.
